HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!
I made this banner because I got the wonderful American Made Collection by My Mind's Eye in the mail and had to make something for this holiday!
The thing I loved about this collection is that while I was going through it, I was imagining boy cards, man cards, shorts on paper dolls, quilted patterns, and many more. This is not just for this holiday, it's a great pack of papers for all kinds of cards!
You can click on the banner picture to make it larger. :)

I also just realized that this qualifies for the Off the Wall Craftiness Challege here:
red, white, and some kind of blue
This is what we have been doing so far this weekend! An oak tree fell down in my grandmother's yard (no damage thank goodness) and we have been splitting a QUARTER of the wood that fell and was brought over! It took 4.5 hours over two days of at least 4 people splitting and stacking. Two of those woodpiles were there, but we built the other 3.5! This is 6 year old Dante under very close supervision learning how to use the splitter - and loving it!
After a hard day's work..
Then we went to Sardine Factory for some Abalone Bisque and then to Spanish Bay (the place where Hans proposed!) to listen to the bagpipers and watch the sunset! It was such a lovely evening!
Today we will be going downtown to get some ribs and deep-fried artichoke hearts (my nemesis). I hope you have something super fun planned!
