Gingerbread Girl Thank You

Hey! Just a quick post for me today!

I made this card with Emmaline! She picked everything about it! I just helped her put it together. Super cute, right?!

It's all made with Pebbles Home for Christmas collection.

I just thought I would get a jump start on my Christmas thank yous. :)

The stamp is My Creative Time: Once Upon a Time
The ribbon is May Arts Ribbon.

Thankful for You

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Today I am thankful for my momma.

I bet you are LOVING seeing a new collection on the blog! We are loving it too! This collection is.. random.. It has everything from board games to zoo themes to crayons. It’s called Family Fun and is aptly named!

The “b” sides of these papers are awesome. It’s a FULL rainbow. I should have taken a picture. Every color except for pink was represented. Nice. So if some of the front patterns are too busy for you (as they are for me) then flip them over and have a ball! I used the d-stress to add a little distressing here and there. :)

Fall is just starting here and I am loving the fall leaf spirit!

My mom has been helping out a ton while my husband has been working like crazy - for like 6 months - so I just wanted to make her a card to say thank you.

The leaves were darling but I wanted to add a little umph. The buttons and enamel dots were JUST the thing to help! The buttons are super fun because each color comes in a big and a small button. love it. And the small size on the enamel dots is super small which is awesome for card makers! They could easily be used for dots of an “i” etc. :) Grab them! Fun colors!

I had some fun with the dimension on this card. Lots of foam adhesive was used.

I hope you enjoyed my fall card today and it inspires you to pick up some Imaginisce goodies and create a card for someone you love!

Supply List:
Imaginisce: Patterned Papers (Family Fun)
Imaginisce: Buttons (Family Fun)
Imaginisce: Enamel Dots (Family Fun)
Imaginisce: d-stress

Zebra Card with Family Fun

Okay, so isn't this zebra kind of darling? This card was made with Imaginisce's new Family Fun collection. LOVIN' these "b" sides.

I wanted the adorable zebra die cut to take center stage.

I stitched around the outside of the circle for some anchoring. It may be some of my best stitching to date! Be impressed. ;)

I used three buttons and really kept going back and forth on whether or not to put twine in them. I am glad I didn't.

You can barely see it but the red layer is actually tone on tone stripes. I think it actually focuses your eye without you actually knowing it.

Here it is form the side. Not too much dimension for me. Only the zebra is popped up.

I grabbed the tiny sentiment from My Creative Time.

Thanks for continuing to stop by and leave me messages! It is taking a LONG time for me to get my feet under me again as a mommy of two. I wont go on a rant, but let's just say this and last year have been incredibly challenging.. and I hate cancer. Anyway, thanks for sticking with me! BIG hugs!

May Arts New Release Ribbon Blog Hop

Court from Court’s Crafts here! I received this awesome silk ribbon! It’s so soft and .. well.. silky! :) It’s quite flat - there is virtually no thickness which is awesome for cards!

For my first card I used loops to emphasize my sentiment and distract from the busy background.

My second card was actually where my inspiration came from. I wanted to weave the silk ribbon. As the ribbon is a 1” width, I wove it on a 4” x 4” piece of card stock. Then I had to find a way to get the sentiment on the background without covering up the weaving. I achieved this by using the loopy method. :)

My last project is a quick tag. I wanted to tie a bow with this gorgeous ribbon and the way the folds worked on the top of the tag - ugh. lovely. I have always said that May Arts Ribbon is the BEST for tying bows and this ribbon is no different. Luscious.

Here is the line- up for the week!!!!

Quick Thank You Notes

I have been needing a lot of thank you notes recently and with my daughter's 2nd birthday on Saturday, I knew I needed a quick design to whip up some more.

Here I let the patterned paper do the work!

Hope you are having a great summer! Mine is going by WAY too fast! My little one is 5 months old!!! What in the world!?! And how did Emmaline turn 2?!? Heavens to Betsy (how do you spell that and were did the phrase come from?!) haha. Have a great day!

Written in the Raindrops: Doodlebug Vellum Love

Hellooooo and good morning! Court from Court's Crafts here with some vellum love inspiration for you!!

I got my inspiration for this card here. It is where the idea for heart shaped clouds came from.

I needed some more thank you cards and couldn't find a spot for the sentiment that I liked. I gave up on it for the night and slept on it and then remembered the cute cloud with the rainbow drops that I had been wanting to use from the Springtime line. Then Teensy Type came to mind and I thought - why not put the sentiment in the raindrops! I got super excited! :)

This may be one of my favorite cards that I have made recently! TIP: I cut the vellum and sugar coated cardstock hearts twice - one out of white cardstock and the other from the sugar coated cardstock and vellum. That way they would be thick and I could put foam dimensional tape behind them to pop them off without it showing through the vellum. The white dot vellum is adhered behind the clouds. :)

Of course that little bird has been on my mind to use. Isn't he/she just the cutest!?!

The background just needed a little something so I thought - more vellum!!! I cut a white cloud with my die cutting machine, added a stitching row to anchor the card and voila!

recipe:
doodlebug: sprinkles vellum: lily white (4253)
doodlebug: sprinkles vellum: swimming pool (4250)

St. Patrick's Day with Imaginisce

Hello! I admit that I don't send a lot of St. Patty's Day cards which is embarrassing since I am mostly Irish. But I do enjoy sending them to smaller humans as I think they get a real kick out of getting something cute and quirky in the mail. :)

This little worm was super fun. I hid the face that was originally in the die cut and replaced it with a stamp so I could add a little more character. St. Patrick's Day is all about the sparkle for me so I added some glitter pretty much wherever I wanted to accent.

Now break out your Imaginisce patterned papers, find the greens, golds, and oranges and make a card for someone random - just to make them smile. :)

Supply List:
Imaginisce: Patterned Papers (Welcome Spring)
Imaginisce: Bling (My Baby)
