Nuts about You!

Hello! I pulled out last year's Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg for this entire card! Remember to pull out last year's collections and mix them into new ones if you would like! I got this from Pumpkin Spice and you can click on the links in the recipe to take you to the page where you can get individual sheets. :)

I made this for the Cricut Circle Magazine challenge of using Cosmo Cricket, at least three Cricut Cuts (squirrel, acorn, and 6 leaves), and embossing!

Autumn Banner!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MALAKAI!!!! WE LOVE YOU! It's our Godson's 1st birthday today and I can't wait to get back and celebrate him in style!
---
I have to say that I don’t make a home decor project unless I intend on putting it up in our home. However, with 450 square feet total (we live in a studio in San Francisco), my wall space is precious and whatever I put up everyone sees. I actually have already hung this up and am very excited about it.
Originally I had planned on hanging it left to right and putting it on the front door. However, I was video chatting with my best friend’s Kourtni and Phil and Phil said, “that is going to look great straight up and down.” (I showed it to him before I added the ribbon when the leaves were just laying on the table) I thought that was a FABULOUS idea so the creative genius to hang it straight up and down entirely belongs to Mr. Phil! Thanks, friend!
SORRY! OUT FOR PUBLICATION!
I have to tell you, the success of this project was based on the awesomeness of Glue Arts. I put all the leaves together in a jiffy with the Perma-Tac Glue Glider Pro and then used their Glue Arts Extreme Adhesive Squares™ and put ONE square on the ribbon and pressed the leaf down into it. Those leaves aren’t going anywhere. They really have made some amazing products.

And, I wasn't sure what I thought about the Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg line, but when it is all together, how cute is it!?!
Recipe:
Cartridges: Designer’s Calendar™ (leaves), Cake Basics™ (letters)
Paper: Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg Collection: “Cinnamon” (red with spots and salmon color), “Autumn” (red wood grain + letters), “Acorn” (green leaves and blue shadow), “Maple” (brown woodgrain), “Falling Down” (stripes)
SORRY! Out for publication!

EAD Designs Color Challenge!

This month at EAD Designs they are using some of my favorite colors (my favorite color is olive green)! I had to get this done before I left so I emailed Emily (thank you!) and she sent me the challenge! :)

So this one will get linked up hopefully while I am away, but I am posting it tonight!

Aren't the colors gorgeous?

Luckily in my last order, I bought the best EAD Stickerz to go with it. This set is called Fall Harvest. I think it is definitely one of my favorites.

Pumpkin Spice is my sponsor and a giveaway!

I am SO excited to finally announce that Pumpkin Spice is sponsoring my blog!!! This is the company that I was telling you about during the hop where I bought My Pink Stamper stamps from.

I put the same My Pink Stamper stamps in my cart for 5 companies. Hallmark Scrapbook and Custom Crops were two of the bigger ones and they charged about $6 and $8 for shipping respectively.

I chose Pumpkin Spice because of two reasons:

  1. The shipping price was $2.78 (I think or it was $2.87)
  2. I called customer service because I needed them pronto to use for my projects and for the give away. I got a call back within 15 minutes! And she went to the post office and shipped them within an hour!

THAT is amazing and I told her so. Now here we are - a friendship has been born and now a sponsorship!

Today I have a card for you that is for my grandfather's birthday. So Grammy, if you're reading this, don't show it to him! :)

Denine at Pumpkin Spice was SO generous and I am pleased to open this with the Union Square line from My Mind's Eye. While I doubt it's the same one they named the line after, we have a Union Square here in San Francisco and I just LOVED the red glitter paper. I thought it is so versatile from men's cards (like this one) to girls night out cards, polka dots, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and even Halloween -- of course it's a shoe in for Valentine's day as well but that's a little bit far away.

Recipe:
From the My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Union Square™ Line:
Union Square "Favorite" Decorative Brads™
Union Square "Home Sweet Home" Glittered Accessories Sheet™
Union Square "Perfect" Stamps™
Union Square "Favorite" Trims™ - the "ribbon" is linen! I love it!
Union Square "Favorite" Union Station Paper™
Union Square "Favorite" Birds of a Feather Paper™
Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg Collection - Acorn Paper™
Embossing: A2 Seeing Spots Emboss Folder™
Glossy Accents (on the crown)
Red Stickles by Studio G (on the crown)
Pop Dots
Corner Rounder

Denine (owner of Pumpkin Spice) has also generously put this all in a Court's Crafts Collection Kit! So you can everything you need to make it here! How cool is that!

And if that wasn't great enough, she sent me some goodies to send to you! Leave a comment on this post telling me how many items for sale there are under the section listed "Blackbird" under "My Mind's Eye - Halloween Collections and what your favorite paper is from there. I will randomly choose a winner on Friday to win the Cosmo Cricket Matilda mini deck sponsored by Pumpkin Spice

You will have until Thursday at midnight PST to leave a comment. Winner will have 48 hours to contact me because I am leaving for Europe! So become a follower if you don't want to miss it and if you like my work!
