Imaginisce and Xyron Blog Hop! :)

Xyron and Imaginisce are doing a swap all week long! Be sure to check out THE BLOG for details and to see who else is hopping along! :) I received Good Dog in the mail and I knew just what I wanted to do with it!

My dog is named Spoon as some of you know. She is a little Yorkie. The dog she loves most in the world is named Dash. We call him her boyfriend.

A few weeks ago Dash ran out of the house and got hit by a car. He is undergoing about 18 procedures over 6 weeks go get better. It is heartbreaking but he will be okay! We wanted to send him a little care package and a get well card from Spoon.

Dash is a grey dog so we made the dog on the front of the card grey by using "silver" embossing powder that I did not heat emboss. The "doggy bag" has dental bones, treats, and a chewie inside. The plush toy is also for dash. Who doesn't like a dragon when they're down? :)

I did a tutorial on the card below. I hope you enjoy it! :)

Instructions:
Die cut dog at 2.5" tall (3.5" long).
Run through Xyron sticker maker to apply adhesive to the grey layer.
Pour grey heat embossing powder over the grey layer to add texture.

Cut a piece of paper at 3.75" square.
Cut the red layer at 4" square.
Cut the green chevron layer at 4 7/8" square.
Cut a 1.5" bubble.
Stamp the sentiment onto speech bubble.
Put i-rocks around the outside.

Use Mega Runner to adhere ribbon and layers together.

Zig-zag sew - reverse stitches and pull them out a little so they seem distressed.
Use Mega Runner to adhere fire hydrant.
Use foam tape made from the Xyron Creation Station and craft foam to adhere the dog and speech bubble.

Tie a bow with Twinery twine in marucino and adhere to the dog.

I just wanted to go ahead and play along with the Imaginisce sketch challenge for this month. This is the last day to enter! You need to use green and the word "luck" or "lucky" as well as Imaginisce product to participate!

I made these pair of thank you notes for our dog Spoon to give to the people who watch her while we are away on trips! We are actually coming back from one today! :)

When I was taking pictures, my little "helper" kept moving back into view! :)
This also qualifies for Shop Pumpkin Spice's LUCKY challenge!

Be sure to check out Margie and Mitchell's blogs as they show you what they have done today with the Imaginisce product swap!

Scrapping the Little Things - Emma is 7 months old!

Well, I went crazy on the last layout and just needed something simpler this time. You wouldn't believe how complicated I made this on my craft desk trying to decide what to do... and then I just ripped it all apart and this is what I liked. Sometimes you have to get complicated to get to simple I find.

Head on over to My Creative Time to see what the other girls have created for your scrapbooking pleasure! :)

Rainbow challenge

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I hope you are wearing your green!!!! :)

Welcome to my Shop Pumpkin Spice post for today. A new challenge was posted yesterday and the challenge is RAINBOW!

Okay, I admit it... I may have gone a little overboard. I got on a roll and then just couldn't stop! :)

I used my Xyron 5" Creative Station and ran the pennant shaped panel through it. It made this SUPER easy and quick to adhere the rainbow strips of paper to. I sliced it into the pennant shape after adhering the paper so I could make sure I used all my scraps. :)

I used the current sketch from Artful Delight.

Scrapping the Little Things - Spring

Today at My Creative Time we were supposed to make a scrapbook page or project life page with a theme of Spring or Easter. I LOVE St. Patrick's Day. This is the outfit she will be wearing and while I was just going to prep this layout an insert pics, I hated the look of it without the pictures so we took these yesterday! I think that being within a week of St. Patty's should be just fine. I know, I know. I totally cheated. ;)

I hope you enjoy it! :)

Just a few of the details. I stamped directly on photo paper for the "I love your smile!" I love the way it came out! I was surprised given that I am a stamping-goober that it came out so cleanly! Rockin' stamps!

The "Oh so lucky.." was stamped on the "treat wrapper".

Check out my stitching! It's getting better, right? :)

A Basket Full of Love Just for You

Hello and welcome to my My Creative Time post for today! :)

Cathryn was in charge of this challenge and chose to pick something for spring. I can do that! :) If you think you can too, then head on over to My Creative Time and link up! :)

Designer's notes:
I cut the circle and then hand cut the handle off of it. In this picture the bottom piece is my "basket" and the top piece is my handle. The middle was used for stamping practice! :)

I wrapped the twine around the center of the handle at the top so it looked more like a "basket". For some reason it looks off centered in the pic above, but I promise it's centered! :) See below!

Here is a dark picture, but shows how well the stamp stamped on the material.

SPS Blog Hop - Green and 4 of something

Good morning and welcome to the Shop Pumpkin Spice blog hop for March!

You should have gotten here from Marlene's blog. If not, start HERE at Shop Pumpkin Spice!

The challenge this week is to use green and four of something. I interpreted it loosely and assumed that was "at least 4" of something. I used a lot of buttons. June told me I was breaking the rules! I'm a rebel, what can I say? ;)

I love this Lost and Found Two line. It's on sale at the store! Click the link in the recipe if you would like to go check it out!

Finally! I found the link to the card that in my head I cased. I couldn't find it so I was just doing it from memory of what it looked like. Here it is by Tamara Tripodi for Epiphany Crafts

Recipe:
MME: Lost and Found Two: Rosy "Best of Friends" Dotted Paper™ (green spots)
MME: Lost and Found Two: Blush 'Sweet" Bouquet Paper™ (pink gingham)
