You Are One of a Kind

Hello everyone! I turned this ADORABLE Fox 2 cut file into a shaped card! The links for the fox are below.
I used the adorable "Little Man" collection by Lori Whitlock for Echo Park Paper for this card. Everything came out of the collection pack including that super cute sentiment that I thought would be darling doubled as a scarf.
This card would be great for Father's Day, birthdays for boy or man or just because! I hope you enjoyed this card and pick up this cute fox. (psst. another idea: I almost turned this into a girl "you're foxy" card! Wouldn't that be cute?!)

Bunny Favor Box with Lori Whitlock

Hello everyone! Usually I feel SOOO behind leading up to holidays but this cute Easter Bunny Favor Box 2 was too cute to not make! It's Courtney Lee from Court's Crafts here with a little bit of darlingness to spruce up your Easter baskets, classroom treats, or neighbor gifts this year! These would also be ADORABLE party favors for a bunny themed party!
The tutorial today is how to import into Cricut Design Space. There is a little trick and if you were like me and were really confused why the little black score and cut lines weren't on the object they were supposed to be on - this tutorial is for you!
Alright! Now, one tip I have to say when putting this box together is to score all the lines first on a scoring board. That helps a ton. And don't stress about the "v" parts. They close in beautifully when you pretend to close the box. I adhered my box closed with some sticky backed velcro that I picked up at the fabric store a while ago.
One other tip is the bunny head. You can only attach the bunny's head BELOW the double dotted line on the flap. That way the flap can actually bend and close... ask me how I know.... ;) See that spot where I had to rip off my adhesive!? ;)
Lastly, start with the head and work down as it lines up with the curvature of the top. I started with the body and realized my head wasn't high enough. :)
That's it for me today! I used Lori Whitlock's Celebrate Easter Collection for Echo Park for this card. Isn't it fun!?!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!! Courtney Lee from Court's Crafts here today with a box card tutorial!

One of these tabs is not like the other. It doesn't have scoring marks on it. Don't fold it... You can see that I started to this time! eek! But it needs to stay straight. That is your back piece. Do not assemble the box part. It is so much easier to add the piece while it is flat.

I like to start by adding the panel pieces to the front and back of the box card like so... except for that tall yellow piece. Hold onto that. for a second. It turns out that covers up the "flap" of the box when you put it together. I had to tear mine off and put it back on.

Oh no! I forgot that I wanted to add this gorgeous background stamp to my yellow panels! Even designers make mistakes (ahem.. all the time...). Just add it on anyway! :)

Now assemble the "box" and add the back yellow layer to cover up the flap.

I embossed and inked the edges of the turkey and pop and glue all the pieces to their layers.

Add the layers in and a sentiment and you are done! :) I got this sentiment from the "I Love Family" chipboard: a Lori Whitlock collection for Echo Park Paper.

No matter what happens today remember that the day is all about relationships and being thankful. If you burn the turkey, don't sweat it. You have food to eat. If people fight, don't worry about it. You have people who love each other enough to want to get together on a day - family, friends, loved ones. You aren't alone. And if you are still feeling stressed at the end of it... well... leave the dishes to the morning and go get in your craft room! :)

This is Courtney Lee signing off and wishing you a VERY happy and full Thanksgiving.

3D Pumpkin- Lori Whitlock's Blog Hop for November!

Hi all and welcome to the November blog hop for the Lori Whitlock Creative Team!

You should have gotten here from the fabulous Kathy's blog. If not, start HERE at the beginning.

I bought this pumpkin a while ago. I love it's little look and simplicity. Isn't this hexy paper the cutest!?! I made it using Lori Whitlock's I Love Family collection for Echo Park Paper.

Normally I would go all out and add embossing and stitching and embellishments but I decided to keep this one just "out of the box" and show you how cute they can be when you choose cute paper! I made this with a hot glue gun in like 15 minutes - no joke! You can resize these in a bunch of different sizes and make an awesome tablescape for your Thanksgiving dinner table!

Gorgeous Snowglobe Card and Stencil Tutorial

Hi everyone! This is Courtney Lee from Court's Crafts here with one of Lori's new Pop Dot Snow Globe cards! Aren't they gorgeous!?!

Adding Glitter to Spice Up Your Cards
My tutorial today is really about adding glitter! For this one you need to mask out a certain area so when you finish cutting out your cut file, hold onto this red circle that cut out of the outer circle. It is going to act as our mask.

Now the trick to getting a gorgeous result from a stencil is to tape it down really well (just like painting!). I taped the red circle to the card (barely) as I knew it was going to be covered up by the thin red circle afterwards. Does that make sense? So I knew I had about 1/4 inch of room to tape the red circle to the white base. I also taped the whole thing to a scrap piece of paper and the table so that it wouldn't move on me.

This is what it looked like after I used the opaque embossing paste and a spatula.

Eek! Pulling off everything is always the most stressful part. It's so hard not to get your fingers in any of it.

While the embossing paste is still wet, add the glitter and let it dry.. or, if you are daring, grab it by that "snow" part that was masked off and shake the excess off.. I did it and narrowly survived! haha.

My background glitter wasn't enough glitter for me and I also wanted a chunkier glitter look than using glitter paper - my sticker maker to the rescue!

I covered the snowflakes in this slightly golden silver glitter. It looks more gold in this pic for some reason but it's not that gold.

Now just use pop dots to put this beauty together and get ready to impress someone!!!!

Isn't it gorgeous!!!???!! It is even prettier in person. It super glistens. I used Lori Whitlock's I Love Winter Collection for Echo Park for this whole card. The solid cardstock is Carta Bella's and all the patterned papers came from the 6x6 paper pad for I Love Winter. The stencil is also from that collection as well as the sentiment. Enjoy! One more Christmas card done for me! :)

October Blog Hop with the Lori Whitlock Creative Team!

Good morning and welcome to the October version of our awesome blog hop! Make sure to go and download the free cut file today!

You should have gotten here from Kathy's blog! If you didn't, start HERE at the Lori Whitlock blog to start all the fun! :)

I made this fun shaped deer card into Rudolph using pipe cleaners my daughters had in their crafty stash (shhhh... don't tell them I was in there! ;))

I used these super cute brads from Lori Whitlock for Echo Park Paper's "I Love Christmas" line. Aren't they gorgeous!? I used the Chipboard to get the sentiment on there.

I am a little bit in love with the snowflakes on the woodgrain.... and by a little bit I mean pretty much obsessed with this paper. An enamel dot finished off this beauty!
