Ahoy Mateys! Porthole Cards!

Yo-ho Yo-ho A Pirate’s Life for me. :) Ahoy all ye mateys out there! It’s the Fearsome Ginger of the Pacific Sea here to show you the card set that I made using the new Pirate’s Life from Echo Park Paper! I used 4 - YES 4 - of the die sets that come with this collection to showcase the super cute creatures! I hope you enjoy them!

I actually made these for Emmaline’s pre-school teachers. She just finished her first week at summer-school-pre-school where they had a mermaids/ocean creatures/ships/etc. theme. It was my first time dropping her off somewhere and I just wanted to say thank you for all the wonderful feedback they gave me about her. It was so nice. Here are some close-ups of the four cards!
Here is your tip of the day: add some fibrous twine to your card. Anything that gives a card texture is a HUGE bonus and makes you want to touch it.
I didn’t have any of those nifty silver things that look like bolts on a port-hole so I substituted with some gold and dark gold pearls. I love using up my stash! Also, this was a great way to use up my tiny alphas. I used several different ones so be sure to check out your stash for those tiny alphas when you need a repeated sentiment. Remember that the card recipient is NOT going to see all 4 cards together so if you use different ones on different cards, who cares!? :)

Okay, those anchors are darling. The big one is a die cut and the small one is a sticker. I wanted another pop of color on the card. Stickers to the rescue!

Thanks for hanging out with me today. I hope this inspires you to decorate a small child’s pirate themed birthday party or to change the sentiment into a birthday for big or small. Always feel free to ask any questions you may have and I’m happy to help! Have a beautiful day!
