Xyron - Graphic 45 - Petaloo Hop Hop Hop! :)

Graphic 45 and Petaloo were ridiculously generous in the product that they sent to us Xyron folk. I was so shocked when I saw my big box of goodness! This project doesn't even dent it and I love it so you'll definitely be seeing more of it in future projects! THANK YOU Graphic 45 and Petaloo!!!

Okay, onto my project:
So we moved out into the "country" and everyone in our neighborhood has an acre of land. Horses, goats, dogs, and gardens are everywhere, but there was only one person that I saw that was growing pumpkins! Since we are new to the neighborhood and one person in particular has been super kind to us (and given us LOTS out of her garden already!), I thought I would give her these pumpkin seeds to grow next year and we can carve pumpkins together. All they needed was to be dressed up in a little Graphic45/Xyron/Petaloo!

Supply List:

Make sure you have stopped by all of our blogs today and have left comments. There are prizes up for grabs! Check out the Xyron Blog for full details! :)

My Creative Time 3-D Wednesday

Hello and good early morning to you all! It's 3-D Wednesday over at My Creative Time and my cousin is getting married in a few months. She asked if I would make some accouterments for her photo booth at the wedding and of course I said, "I have a die for the mustaches!!"

My little model was not cooperating! She wanted to eat my mustaches! haha. There will be lots of children at the wedding so I am sure they will enjoy these!

Xyron - Favorite Techniques - Glitter+Acetate

I hope you enjoy my tutorial today! This is my favorite Xyron technique and like all great discoveries it happened by accident. :)

I had stamped my sentiment and then wanted to glitter the cloud, but the sentiment would not show though the glitter and I realized that too late so I placed acetate on top. Now I have a perfectly clear sentiment in the middle and glitter around! Perfect.

So this time, it's not a cloud but a bat! :)

I used Core'dinations cardstock which is textured on one side for two reasons:
a: I like it.
b: It makes it easier for you to see in the tutorial if I ran it through top side up or down. In this tutorial, all of them will be run top side down so the adhesive is on the front of the die cut. There are times where afterwards you can run it through again top side up so that the back side is covered in adhesive. I chose to add some dimension so I didn't do that today. Okay. Here we go!

Step 1: Cut out all of your die cuts and stamp your sentiment.

Step 2: Run your bat top side down through the 2.5" Sticker Maker. There will now be adhesive covering your sentiment.

Step 3: Hand cut the acetate around the sentiment and lay it on top of your sentiment.

Step 4: I used these two little pink pieces of paper that were supposed to be "cheeks" to mask the adhesive so it wouldn't get glitter on it. I thought it would make it easier to attach the googly eyes later. Little did I know that those little dots are so strong it wouldn't matter at all! They stick to glitter amazingly well!

Step 5: GLITTER!

Step 6: Shake off excess and use your finger to clear any glitter off the acetate.

Step 7: Use High Tack Adhesive Dots in 3/16" to adhere the googly eyes into place.

Step 8: Check out your cute bat!

Step 9: Run tree background through the 5" Creative Station.

Step 10: Glitter! I love glittering.

The rest of the project I did but didn't take pictures of. I cut out a background die cut and adhered it. Next I sewed a border around the edge of the card base as well as the moon. I used 3/8" High Tack Dots to adhere the bat to the glittered tree background (they held ridiculously well!) and lastly I attached the sun with foam dimensional tape that comes in the Teresa Collins Xyron Adhesive Kit. Oh! And I added a little bow. I thought it needed a pop of green.

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial on my favorite Xyron technique! :) Have a beautiful day!

These are cuter in person. I had to photograph them at night and it really just didn't do these cute little guys justice! :( Just come on over to my house, I'll pour you a glass of wine and you can see them for yourselves! Deal? Deal. :)
