Well, my friends. Today I have some bad news. Last night my grandfather passed away after an amazing battle with cancer. He was the bravest, kindest, best patient and he never complained. He said he was doing "great" everyday and even though he was the one in the hospital bed, he offered others his food or a tissue or wanted to make sure they were taken care of. That was his way.
So while this post is a little late (and I hope you will forgive me), I wanted to put something up to honor and commemorate him. And if this man was about anything, he was about celebrating, living life to the fullest, and ALWAYS keeping your plate full of food and your glass full. SO I think it is absolutely appropriate to continue on with our celebration.

Oh court I am so sorry to hear about your grandfather. It really says something about how strong he was when he is the one wanting to still do for others while he was the one with cancer. No words will fill the void you have lost but do know how lucky you have been to have your grandfather in your life so long. I lost all my grand parents by time I was 7. My grandma died 3 months before I was born from breast cancer. Only grand parent I really knew was my grandpa. He spoiled me..lol and I was by him as he passed when I was 7. I wish I would have had more time with him to get to know him better. Prayers to you and your family and I am very sorry for your loss.
I am so sorry for your loss. I am leaving you the words my 4 year old niece (now 17) said to me when my grandmother passed away. "He not gonna hurt no more. He gonna see Jesus and give him a hug and he not gonna hurt NO MORE." That comment still puts a smile on my face when I lose a loved one.
