2011 Imaginisce Design Team Member!

Hello everyone!!! I am absolutely thrilled and honored to have been selected as part of the 2011 Imaginisce Design Team

I have been on cloud 9 and just couldn't wait to tell you all!

I always consider these kind of successes to be about all of us - as I say - my grandmother was my first "follower" so for those that encouraged me from the beginning, share in the joy!

I couldn't decide what to put up here as my first project so I just decided to show you what I created for my DT submission.

Design Notes:
If you look through the sparkle on the tree - the white parts - you can see the snowflakes underneath. This is a lot more apparent in person, but was hard to photograph. It was my favorite part of the layout! :)

Recipe:
Cartridge: Christmas Noel Solutions™, Cake Basics™ (scalloped circle)
i-rock and lots of Hot Rocks (from the) Compact™ - I admit it... I'm blinging everything!
Stencil for the flourishes: i-rock Swirls Stencil™
Sentiment stamp: MME Holly Jolly™
Embossing powder: a la Mode™
Sparkle: Pixie sparkle - for the red parts: on top of Studio G red glitter glue
Vinyl photo corners from EAD Designs™

Next up we were asked to create a card... Of course I chose a shaped card:

Design Notes: I got the jingle bell from Michael's and you may or may not notice that I embossed the green background. I used clear embossing powder to create the shine on the red part of the flower.

Recipe:
Embossing powder: a la Mode™
Twine:  PaperTreyInk™

Lastly, we were asked to create something of our choice. My mom really liked my Autumn banner and requested that I make one for her that said, "thankful". This is now inside of her house.
Recipe:
Imaginisce Apple Cider Collection™
Cartridge: Designer's Calendar™ and  Cake Basics™
Embossing: D'vine Swirls™ and Victoria

A few close-ups. Sorry the colors aren't quite right. It was raining this day too!

I hope you enjoyed this post and have a very Merry Christmas! I am really looking forward to joining in such talent and learning a lot from these really talented ladies!

Be Inspired Wednesday - A Thanksgiving color card

This week at Passionately Artistic we have been asked to use green, orange, and brown along with a Thanksgiving theme. This is the card I created. :)
Recipe:
Card stock: Paper Trey Ink Perfect Match: Ripe Avocado™, Orange Zest™, and Dark Chocolate™
Ribbon: Paper Trey Ink Saddle Stitch Ripe Avocado™
Embossing: 5x7 Holly Ribbons Emboss Folder™, Swiss Dots Emboss Folder™
Cartridge: Winter Woodland™
Adhesive: Glue Arts™ and Martha Stewart Gel Adhesive™
Button: Paper Trey Ink Holiday Mix™
Twine: Paper Trey Ink Rustic Cream Button Twine™
Glossy Accents
Ink: Momento™, Versamark™
Sentiment: Hero Arts CL272™
Embossing Powder: Filigree Gold™

Instructions
Cut Branch 2 card feature from Winter Woodland at 5.5" out of Dark Chocolate.
---Note: I left the real dial size off, but it did not translate to the leaves, so that is why the measurement is different--
Cut leaves at 2.25" out of Ripe Avocado.
Emboss leaves with swiss dots.
Ink around edges of leaves with Momento brown ink.
Ink the top of the raised dots with Momento brown ink.
Cut layer for background out of Orange Zest.
Emboss Orange Zest background with Holly Leaves Emboss Folder™ using your Cuttlebug™.
Adhere orange layer to back of brown front of card using your Glue Glider Pro™ or other adhesive.
Stamp sentiment (this one is from Hero Arts™) using VersaMark ink.
Pour gold embossing powder over the top and shake off all excess.
Using heat embossing tool (I used EK Success Coloriser™ and LOVE it), emboss sentiment
Doodle around all edges and on acorn as well as branches and leaves as desired.
Use button twine around button and adhere to acorn using small pop dot.
Add ribbon and secure with Glue Arts Extreme Adhesive Squares™ on the back of the bow.
Smile and enjoy your card! :)

Now pop on over to Passionately Artistic to see what the other ladies have made. Link up your project just to share with us at the bottom if you would like! Have a wonderful day!

Cuttin' Up Saturday Christmas Multiples!

Please scroll down for my earlier post and the Halloween Blog Hop!

Jolly good morning to you on this fine Saturday morning!

This week at the Cuttlebug Challenges we are showing you just how easy it is to make multiples of cards. Since it is National Card Making Day (or is it world card making day?) - a day to celebrate making cards for one another, crafting, and getting ahead on those Christmas cards, I have decided to make Christmas cards.

Recipe:
Paper: Echo Park Merry Christmas™, Bazzill™ (diamond white)
Pixie Glitter
Glossy Accents™
Crop-a-dile™
Ribbon

Instructions
1. I put all the Christmas trees, their layers, and their shadows on three different "layers" on my Gypsy. All cuts were from Christmas Solutions (Noel)™cartridge. I turned them around to fit as many on a sheet as possible. They were cut at 4.5".

I took one off while it was cutting so that I could make sure it would come out okay. So I glued the green top to the white bottom and laid it on the top so you could see what it would look like.

2. The next day I decided to add a maroon shadow to give it some more pop.
3. I used Glossy Accents on the white part of the tree and then poured Pixie Sparkle over it. I let it dry overnight.
4. I cut out the tags from Sentimentals™and inked them with red ink around the edges.
5. I used my Crop-a-dile™ to punch holes and add eyelets to the tags.
6. I stamped the tags with a sentiment from My Pink Stamper: Winter Punnies™
7. I ran the tags through the Cuttlebug™ with the Snowflakes A2 Winter Borders Emboss Folder™
8. I ran the Echo Park Merry Christmas™ paper through the Cuttlebug™ with the 5x7 Holly Ribbons Emboss Folder™ and on the red and white striped versions, the A2 Snowflakes Emboss Folder™.
9. I adhered the ribbon and all layers using my Glue Glider Pro™
10. I pop dotted the Christmas tree and the tag after tying a ribbon around the tag.
11. I put it on the blog to share it with you! If you click on the picture below it will get bigger and you can see the detail.

Don't forget to stop by the Cuttlebug Challenges and leave comments every day and become a follower because there are two cartridges up for grabs - Winter Frolic™ and Home Decor™.

Keep scrolling own for my Halloween Blog Hop where you can win an October 31st™ cart, My Pink Stamper™ Stamps, Cuttlebug™ folders, and EAD Designs™ stickerz!
