It's a Boy!

Happy Friday!

The challenge was to use black, blue, and one other color. It was also to use the Life's a Beach cart, but I don't have that, so you were allowed to use one other cart. I chose Cake Basics™. I was thinking of cartridges that had an umbrella on them so that at least it could have been found on Life's a Beach.

I made this card in 25 minutes - which is basically a record for me. It usually takes me about an hour a card because I can't commit to something and have to change it around. I had an idea in my head for this one and just executed. It was a really nice feeling that I am going to try to repeat. :)

Recipe:
Cartridge: Cake Basics™
Card Stock: Paper Trey Ink™"Spring Rain", "Enchanted Evening", "True Black", and "Lemon Tart"
Design Paper: KaiserCraft: Iris
Stickles in "Waterfall" from Artful Delight's November Kit
Glossy Accents™
Half "pearls" by Imaginisce + i-rock™
White Gelly Roll™ gel pen

This card also qualifies for Kim's Off the Wall Craftiness Challenge. Here is the inspiration photo:

Have a fabulous Friday!

Off the Wall Craftiness Challenge #30

These are a couple of quick thank you cards that I made using my new Paper Trey Ink supplies that I ordered while in London! I love the name "ripe avocado". Being from California, we get a lot of avocados, but we still eat them ALL the time because we love them so much! However, this color does not look like a ripe avocado on the inside or the outside, but I still like it!

Recipe:
Embossing Powder: A la Mode: White, Filigree: Gold (from Paper Trey Ink™)
Hero Arts Adhesive Gems
Colorizer from EK Success Heat Tool™
Stamps: My Pink Stamper: Everyday Occasions™, Hero Arts CL272™, Inkadinkado 97626™

These two cards are for the Off the Wall Craftiness Challenge of green, brown, and white. Looking on the color swatches now, my green is a bit off. I used my favorite - olive green. I hope it's okay! :) Here is the inspiration photo and balloon color swatches:

I have some spooky cards coming up for you tomorrow for Be Inspired Wednesday at Passionately Artistic (the new name for the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog).

Malakai's First Birthday Invites!

That Halloween Hop was fun! I will give you a little while longer to leave comments so be sure to get them in!

On World Card Making Day (this last Saturday) I went to a Crop for the Cure where I got to meet some wonderful ladies like Monique Griffith and Wendy Lawrence. While there, I made a few things. This is one of them. :)

These are going to be the invitations for our Godson's first birthday! The theme will be Baby Beluga as that is his favorite song to be sure.

Recipe:
Cartridge: Gypsy Wanderings™ (comes with the Gypsy™), Wild Card™ (for the oval)
Paper: Echo Park: A Walk In the Park™, Bo Bunny™ double dot, Cricut™ (solid brown), Bazzill™ (solid white)
Embossing: Seeing Spots™
Ink: Momento™
Stamps: Hero Arts CL 139
Ribbon
Crop-a-dile™
Eyelets

I made this for the challenge at Off the Wall Craftiness as well: light blue, cream, and brown

Off the Wall Craftiness, Caardvarks, and My Pink Stamper

Today was a day to try to participate in some challenges which is always fun. :) I am participating in a few new ones. One of those new ones is called Caardvarks. Their challenge was clean and simple stamping.

I love participating in Kim's challenges at Off the Wall Craftiness and this was our inspiration photo:

Lastly, My Pink Stamper is having a challenge where anything goes so this one and the next one will both qualify for it! :)

This is an A2 sized card which Robyn would tell us over and over is 5.5x4.25" - but thank goodness because now I know it! I am ready to take the My Pink Stamper quiz! haha.

The white base is Bazzill™, the dark pink is Core'dinations™, and the light pink is actually white card stock. I inked up the Love is in the Air™ embossing folder and then embossed it so that everything ELSE was pink and the embossing was white. It's a technique I picked up from one of the design team members at the Cuttlebug Challenge before I was asked to be on the DT. I love learning new things. :)

I added some ribbon, some Hero Arts™ adhesive gems and adhesive flower, and cut the butterflies from the Gypsy Wanderings™ borders option and hid all of the detailing since I was going to cut it so small.

I hope you like it. It makes me smile and I can't wait to give it to one of my chick friends for their birthday!

My card for Off the Wall Craftiness Challenge #24

Now it's my turn! :) This card was made for Off the Wall Craftiness Challenge #24 - Kim's blog! :)

I just got Winter Woodland yesterday in the mail from OhMyCrafts.... hint hint I bought two of them.... and why would I need two unless I was giving one away in the future.... :) Naturally I had to use the cartridge as soon as it came.

I loved this little squirrel. I hope you like it too! I Cuttlebugged the background layer and the acorn with Swiss Dots and the body with the Victoria Cuttlebug folders. I used my Fiskars Hearts™ border punch that Christy just gave me (THANKS CHRISTY!) and a cute little card was born! I finished it off with My Pink Stamper's Winter Punnies™ new stamp set (both the snowflakes and the sentiment) LOVE it! I have two more of her stamp sets on their way to me!

Recipe:
Cartridge: Winter Woodland™
Embossing: A2 Swiss Dots Emboss Folder™, A2 Victoria Emboss Folder™
Border Punch: Fiskars Hearts
Sentiment: My Pink Stamper's Winter Punnies™
Stamps: My Pink Stamper's Winter Punnies™

Christy's Entry for Off the Wall Craftiness

My friend Christy does not have a blog, so when she came over for my Swarm last Saturday, she wanted to make a card for the challenge and I offered to post it for her so she could possibly win!

Christy made this into a postcard. I think it's too cute.

Stamps: My Pink Stamper Family and Friends™

Off the Wall Craftiness #21

There were a lot of colors in this challenge! :) I had these robot stickerz from EAD Designs called Robot Buddies. They were just too cute and colorful to pass up for this challenge! I didn't add the pink as it is a boy's card.

Here is the inspiration photo:

Here is my card:

Off the Wall Craftiness #19 and Happy Birthday Uncle Royce

I made two cards with my new Bo Bunny™ Dot paper that I kept seeing on everyone's cards and then I just had to have it!

The first one I made when my co-mom Linda asked me to make a card for her brother in law (my new uncle) Royce. So I had to make it "happy birthday"-esque while keeping it manly.

Now the fact that I went out and bought two more sets of Hero Arts™ is totally Jenny over at Wee Memories's fault (do you like how I am casting all purchasing blame on other people?). She is a Hero Arts™ hostess and I keep seeing adorable stamps left and right! I did need a new happy birthday stamp and so I picked up the Hero Arts™ CL 139 set . I LOVE it. The paper piecing is also inspired by Jenny's many cards.

I love the way this card turned out.

Recipe:
Paper: Bo Bunny™
Sentiment and balloons: Hero Arts™ CL 139
Pop Dots
Glossy Accents™

The second card I made was for my new Grandmother's birthday. I liked the formatting of the first card so much that I copied it for the second. I picked the colors based on Challenge 19 for Off the Wall Craftiness: light pink, lemon sherbet, lime green. You can see the inspiration photo below.

I bought another new stamp set for this one: Hero Arts™ CL280 which has elephants on it. You didn't know that I LOVE elephants, but you will see it very soon as now I have 4 to play with... three of which made it onto this card! :)

Recipe:
Paper: Bo Bunny™
Sentiment, elephants, and flowers: Hero Arts™ CL280
Pop Dots
Glossy Accents™
Ribbon

I really think my Grandmother will like it!

Have a great Thursday! I've got to get going on some projects and I've been so thrilled with the response that I've gotten about my video and the giveaway! Thank you all for your comments and encouragement! It is so appreciated! And welcome to all the new followers!

OTWC#18, WMC#16, PKS#34, CricutCardzChallenge#36

I love this card! I think it came out SO cute! I think that's probably bad to say about one's own cards, but sometimes you just like them. I hope you do too!

I made this from the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge #34 sketch. Sketches do tend to make one's life easier and that combined with a color challenge at Off The Wall Craftiness made this a perfect card to make while watching a movie.

I am currently addicted to the chip board I got over at Torendi so I had to add that chipboard heart.

This card is so front loaded with materials and pop dots that it almost falls over towards the front when standing up! Do they make weights to put on the back of your cards in case of excessive embellishment-ing? haha.

Recipe:
A2 sized card
Paper: DCVW, K&Co.
Cartridge: Elegant Cakes™ (border, double sided and welded in Gypsy™), Wild Card™ (rectangles and circles)
Embossing: A2 Leafy Branch Emboss Folder™
Ribbon

This card therefore qualifies for the following challenges:
Off The Wall Craftiness #18: Navy blue, white, and yellow

Peachy Keen Stamps #34: Sketch

Wee Memories: Chipboard
Cricut Cardz Challenge #36: Birthday card for a teenager - I thought this would make a cute sweet 16!

OTWC#17, PKSC#33, and FC#20 Baby Card!

Baby Card!

I made this in the middle of the Christmas extravaganza for two reasons:
1. The challenges were ending
2. I needed a break from green and red

So This card may be a little over the top, but I love it! My best friend Kourtni gave me a cartridge on my birthday that wasn't at the top of my list, so she graciously let me exchange it and it came today - Tie the Knot™. So of course I ripped it open and made this card!

Recipe:
Paper: Cricut
Cartridge: Tie the Knot
Embossing: Swiss Dots
Ribbon
Doodling

This is for three challenges:
Peachy Keen Stamps: Sketch #33

Off the Wall Craftiness: Raspberry, bright blue, and purple

Fantabulous Cricut: Cricut cut animal

Celebrate Bug Vinyl

I made this card last night. It's an A2 sized card with and EAD Designs Rub-Ons bug. The sentiment is Hero Arts™, the embossing is done with the Cuttlebug™ A2 Perfectly Paisley Emboss Folder™. I added just the buttons (even glued them on) and then decided that I wanted to make it a garden of flowers with button centers. So I ripped the buttons off and added some flowers that I made with a flower punch and then added some stems and leaves with my new Copic™ markers that I got from iCopic via winning them over at BBTB2! Whew! What a run-on!

I loved this idea so much that I think one of the next cards you will see from me will have a whole garden of flowers with button centers and most likely you will find an EAD rub on bug in there too. :) I love those rub ons!

This card qualifies for two challenges:
Cuttlebug Challenges: Bug and Embossing
Off the Wall Crafitness:Tangerine, teal, and (optional) white, cream, black.... Here is the inspiration photo:

Have a beautiful day!

OTWC#13 and Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge #31

This card was made using the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge sketch:

and with the inspiration photo from Off the Wall Craftiness:

The challenge at Off the Wall Craftiness was to use the colors from the inspiration: pinks and blues.

I had a great time making this card. The paper is from K and Company, placed onto kraft card stock. I cut out the images from the Storybook Cartridge™ and made the shadow circle bigger so that it would suffice for the sketch challenge. I used my flower punch to cut out the background for the buttons, stamped it with the Hero Arts™ stamps CL272 set, added some ribbon, and glued it all on! :)

I hope you like it!

Just Saying Hello - WMC11 and OTWC12

I knew what I wanted to do with this card since the weekend, but haven't had time to sit down and put it together. Last night I stayed up a little too late because I just had to do it. :)

I welded the triangles from a liner feature on the Wild Card Cartridge™ to a rectangle liner also from Wild Card Cartridge™. I hid the inner triangle on the layer with the new hide contour feature and of course played around with the shapes and sizes. I also found the oval on the frame feature on the Wild Card Cartridge™ as well. So while none of these shapes were intended for use the way I used them, that's what's so great about Provo Craft™! I did it all on my Gypsy™ and then cut it out.

I finally decided to use my EAD Background Flourish Stickerz that I won over at The Caffinated Cropper - aka Amy's blog (THANKS AMY!). I haven't wanted to use them because then they would be GONE, but since one of these challenges that I'm entering it in might win my crafting supply drawer more stickers, I decided it was worth the risk. :) These Stickerz are just SO much fun to work with!

I stamped the sentiment with my Hero Arts™ stamps and away we go!

This was made for the following challenges in mind:
Off the Wall Craftiness:Mint, White, Black and a splash of Red

Celebrate - Getting Spoiled by the Girls

Well, my birthday has come and gone and my girls spoiled me with crafting supplies. My best friend Kourtni got me a cartridge, some super cute paper, Hero Arts™ sentiment stamps and an acrylic block (my first stamps)! My bridesmaid Hazel got me Cuttlebug™ folders! :) I am so excited and I just HAD to try them out! We had a swarm on Saturday the 12th and I got the chance! :) So, without further ado, my "Celebrate" card.

I made it with the Sentimentals Cartridge™, my new Hero Arts™ stamps, and my new A2 Perfectly Paisley Emboss Folder™.

This card is for the Off the Wall Craftiness challenge. The challenge was a light blue, chocolate, and white.
