Homegrown Thank You

Hello Echo Park fans!!! I am in LOVE with Homegrown. Have you seen it? It’s all things old fashioned and fresh and farmer’s market and you can practically SMELL the veggies!

Die cut flowers, their centers, and leaves from the patterned paper listed below. Ink around the edges with a brown chalk ink pad.

To give the flowers some real shape I scored them from the centers of the petals to the middle of the flower. This made it easy to bend up the edges while still keeping some flower shape.

I also ran the insides of the flowers through my Cuttlebug with the Layered Scallops embossing folder.

Assemble them with a brad in the center so that they have some wiggle room. Put foam dimensional tape on the back of them and set aside.

Cut a 4.25” x 4.25” card base out of natural colored card stock. Cut a 4 1/8” x 4 1/8” piece of the light blue cardstock. Cut a 3.5” x 3.5” piece of burlap cardstock. Adhere the burlap to the blue cardstock just in the center. You only adhere it in the center as you are going to sew around the edges and you don’t want to gum up your needle with the adhesive in between the two layers. Now ink around the edges with the dark brown chalk ink and then sew around the edge with a straight stitch. I loved the combination of the poppy orange, green, and burlap. I added some light blue background paper as I thought it was enchanting with the poppy orange as well.

Adhere two sewn layers to your card base. Stamp “thank you” with dark brown ink making sure you like the placement. Put the flowers and leaves temporarily on so you can get the placement just right. Have you checked out this stamp set? The phrases and fonts will DEFINITELY make this my go-to stamp set for all my card needs. It’s perfect and the sizes are great. I love it.

Add your flowers and leaves and finish it off with enamel dots. Now don’t forget to send it off to someone! Don’t keep it in your stash. Make someone’s day with it! You can always make more. :)
