Halloween Hustle Part 2

Hey!!! Are you enjoying the Halloween Hustle over at My Creative Time!?! I am happy to be here wrapping up the week with you with a little decor project for a punch bowl!

Designer Notes:
I used three different stitch sizes (all zig zag) to give it a little more of a creepy-not-so-perfect-feel.
I also hung it at funky ribbon angles so that it would look wonky too! I am kind of into wonky right now.

Welcome to our 5 days of "Halloween Hustle"! Yep, we will have 5 days worth of last minute ideas to trick your treats!  You will ALSO see 3-D projects, home decor & even cards!  I hope you are ALL ready for some HALLOWEEN HUSTLE "FUN"! There will be giveaways all week! Check Emma's blog to see what it will be!  Also, if you missed out on our sale last week! Well....for this weekend ONLY, starting this Friday 10/25/2013 @ 12:01am PST  thru Sunday 10/27/2013 @ 11:59pm PST you can use the code OCT2013 to get 20% off your entire order in my store HERE!  Remember I told you about making a "Teeny Tag Holiday" stamp set? A fond farewell to Shop Pumpkin Spice - I even colored!!!

Good Sunday morning to you!!!

This week at Shop Pumpkin Spice the challenge is coloring.... let's just say Courtney wasn't made to color. I tried really hard on this one! So please participate in the challenge and if you are a terrible color-er then I would especially love it - I'll be in good company! :)

I made this for one of my Godchildren. I wanted it to be totally non-spooky and fun!

Well, Denine (the owner) of Shop Pumpkin Spice was my first sponsor. I called her because a big online store told me they had a stamp set that I needed for a DT project. I ordered it. And two weeks later they emailed to say it wasn't in stock (my project was due 5 days later.). eek! I called the number for Shop Pumpkin Spice (by the way, it's her CELL PHONE. She's a one woman show - but how many store owners list their cell!?!). Anyway she had the stamp set, I explained what was going on, and she went to the post office and put it in the mail that day. We've been fast friends ever since.

I will miss Shop Pumpkin Spice a lot but it is time for me to slow down a little bit and take care of baby #2 which is in my belly! With purchasing a foreclosure (a LOT of work) and flying over once a month every month this year, it has been busy - but for ALL good reasons and I feel sooo blessed that these are the reasons I am worn out! Anyhow, you will still see me linking and supporting Shop Pumpkin Spice because a: I LOVE supporting small business. b: I love supporting Denine and appreciate what she does behind the scenes to run a business literally all by herself and c: because I LOVE that design team. They will be friends for life.

Please stop by her store and check it out and see if there is anything on your wish list! Her prices are fabulous! The link is HERE.

Hello and welcome to my Shop Pumpkin Spice post for today.

I am away at a wedding that I am the matron of honor of!!! Congratulations Michelle and Bryan! They got married yesterday!

This week's theme is sunshine at Shop Pumpkin Spice. I planned this - this is not cheating - although I feel like it IS sneaky. I used My Mind's Eye: Good Day SUNSHINE papers for this whole card! It was quite a challenge to turn it into a wedding card, but I did it! :)

Shop Pumpkin Spice - feel better Grampy

My grandfather has been in the hospital for a few weeks and just made it into rehab and yesterday got to come home! He is doing very well! I wanted to make a card for him which will be going off in the mail today - sometimes it's nice when you feel like people are still thinking about you after you get home. :)

I wanted to use Christmas papers for a non-Christmas card and I still LOVE this My Mind's Eye 6x6 Pad: Winter Wonderland. They had me at polka dots, tiny snowmen, and enchanting houses.

Recipe:
Stamps and Dies: My Creative Time
Wooden Pic: Little Yellow Bicycle
Ribbon: May Arts

I made this for 5 - yes - 5 challenges!

I miss your face.

Hello and welcome to my Shop Pumpkin Spice post for today!

We had a blog hop yesterday filled with some AWESOME cards and a layout too! Be sure to check it out! The challenge this week is Stars or Fireworks so if you have anything that qualifies, be sure to link up HERE. Also, voting has begun for the last challenge. Be sure to vote HERE

Okay, I made another card for my best friend Kourtni. I make too many of these cards and never send them to her so I need to send this one! Hold me accountable! Do you get the sentiment with the picture? It took my husband a second. tee hee. :)

Designer's note: I generally HATE coloring. So instead I filled in the stripes on the dress with stickles. BONUS! Texture AND sparkle!

Rainbow challenge

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I hope you are wearing your green!!!! :)

Welcome to my Shop Pumpkin Spice post for today. A new challenge was posted yesterday and the challenge is RAINBOW!

Okay, I admit it... I may have gone a little overboard. I got on a roll and then just couldn't stop! :)

I used my Xyron 5" Creative Station and ran the pennant shaped panel through it. It made this SUPER easy and quick to adhere the rainbow strips of paper to. I sliced it into the pennant shape after adhering the paper so I could make sure I used all my scraps. :)

I used the current sketch from Artful Delight.

Good morning and welcome to the Shop Pumpkin Spice blog hop for March!

You should have gotten here from Marlene's blog. If not, start HERE at Shop Pumpkin Spice!

The challenge this week is to use green and four of something. I interpreted it loosely and assumed that was "at least 4" of something. I used a lot of buttons. June told me I was breaking the rules! I'm a rebel, what can I say? ;)

I love this Lost and Found Two line. It's on sale at the store! Click the link in the recipe if you would like to go check it out!

Finally! I found the link to the card that in my head I cased. I couldn't find it so I was just doing it from memory of what it looked like. Here it is by Tamara Tripodi for Epiphany Crafts

Vintage My Mind's Eye

Today I went to Disneyland and tomorrow I will as well! On Saturday CHA starts and I will be walking the floor and helping out in the Core booth. I am really looking forward to seeing a lot of crafty friends! :) I also have some awesome news coming up that I cannot wait to share with you all! :)

I am participating in a challenge for Paper Smooches which called for a vintage project. I thought using last year's MME papers was a good start! I know it's not "uber vintage", but it is older. :) I added doilies, an old button, a croqueted leaf and distressing. I also stamped with an ink pad that was almost out of ink to give it that effect. Hopefully I pulled it off! :)

Have a great weekend everyone!

Be Inspired #103 - Haunted House

This week for Be Inspired Wednesday at the Cuttlebug Challenges we are celebrating World Card Day early and giving you inspiration of all different kinds. We were given free reign and our personalities really came out in our work. I hope you enjoy and hop over to join in the fun! EDIT: They are giving away TWO cartridges to those that play along and follow! Woo Hoo!

This haunted house was so much fun to create. I put on the Harry Potter movie in the background and went to work.

When I purchased the October 31st Cartridge™ I automatically knew I wanted to make this into a shape card on my Gypsy™. I paired this with some Pink Paislee™ supplies that I won over at Penny's blog! She was so generous and you will be seeing a lot of that awesome black glitter coming up. I had never used Pink Paislee™ and I loved it! Thank you!

Recipe:
Gypsy™
Cartridge: October 31st™
Paper/Cardstock: Cricut™ Card Stock Earthtone (orange), Pink Paislee™ Twilight Collection (black), My Mind's Eye™: Ooh La La paper pack - For Him: Get in Line (yellow with orange cross-hatching, Bazzill™ (diamond white)
Adhesive: Glue Glider Pro Perma-Tac™ - I LOVE this and I have an ATG as well, but this is my new love for sure.
Glitter: Pink Paislee Pixie Stix™
Hero Arts Black Adhesive Gems
Glossy Accents

Instructions:
1. Weld together two haunted houses with everything "hidden" except the outline. Don't forget that one has to be flipped. (This is the dark orange layer.)
2. Duplicate the house that is going to be on the front and put on a new layer. (This is the black layer.)
3. Duplicate the house again on another new layer. On this layer, "hide" everything BUT the windows. You want the windows not to cut - for them to be solid. (This is the yellow with orange cross hatching layer.)
4. Cut all of the objects out.
5. Glue #3 to card base (#1) using your Glue Glider Pro.
6. Hand cut little white ghosts (I wish I would have had that adorable ghost in Paper Doll Dress Up for this one!) and draw sad little faces on them.
7. Glue sad little ghosts onto the yellow with orange cross-hatching layer making sure that they will peek out of the windows properly.
8. Take the black layer and apply glue to the roof (you could use Glossy Accents to make it more solid, but I wanted this house to look dilapidated so I just used glue and kept shaking it off.)
9. Add two orange Hero Arts adhesive gems to the gables of the house.
10. Add black adhesive gems to the bottom two sides and one as the door knob.
11. Apply Glossy Accents™ to the rest of the black layer
12. Pop dot the black layer and add to the front of the card.

Enjoy your card!

I might make this larger and do it as a wall decor item because I really liked how it turned out. I hope you do as well!

Court

Quick thank you and challenges!

I made this super quick card for a guy who helped out with the HOA summer party that I helped throw last Saturday. I feel like I can't even say I made this card. My Minds Eye™ did all of the work. It's from the Ooh La La™ pack that my best friend Kourt gave me for my birthday (thanks Kourt!).

This paper was called "For Him 'Over the Top' Paper Item#OLL118". I simply made an A2 sized cut (8.5x5.5"), folded it, glued one of the journaling cards to the inside that came with it, and stamped it with My Pink Stamper's Everyday Occasions™ stamp set.

Easy Peasy. Sometimes it's okay to let the paper do the work.

Speaking of paper... have you seen the paper by Echo Park? I think I'm in love. If you happen to head over to their Facebook page and "like it" please also put a comment on their wall that says that Courtney Lee sent you! :)

Don't forget to head over to Wee Memories to play in this week's "In the Forest" challenge where you could win a GC to Third Coast Rubber Stamps. You have a little over 3 days to complete something! So head on over there! :)

Come back tomorrow to see the anniversary card that I made for my husband and the Be Inspired Wednesday posts at the Cuttlebug Challenges!
