Pebbles Home for Christmas

American Crafts was so nice to send me some the new Pebbles Christmas line: Home for Christmas. I am loving it and got right to work on a Christmas card!

I wanted to try my hand at using embossing paste and came up with this concept. It didn’t change a lot from what was in my head which is always nice. :) I used tinsel glitter to give it a little extra softness.

I have been a little intimidated of the edge puncher from American Crafts. Why? I have no idea. Tried it. Loved it! And the little star confetti left over was really fun too! My 2 year old loved it! 

I wanted to give the focal point a little extra punch so I grabbed some May Arts ribbon and stapled it with my Xyron Teresa Collins stapler on and then covered up some of the bottom part with a sticker that came with the collection. 

There is a super cute two-stamp set that comes with this line and I thought it was enchanting. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder to give it some pop and that “chalkboard” look.

Pencil Holder From Imaginisce

Hello everyone! I hope you are having a fabulous summer! Mine is FLYING by! I am up on the Imaginisce blog today to give you some pencil no.2 inspiration! 

Pencils are always on the school supply list and while pencil tins are darling, wouldn’t this be fun to look in a cubby or locker at? School colors can be used to add some extra umph, but Emmaline loves pink, blue, purple, and stars so this is right up her ally! 

Imaginisce’s Little Princess line is perfect for many more things than scrapbooking! I have really enjoyed putting the light blue and light green polka dotted paper on boys’ cards - but I digress… I LOVE the star paper in this collection - so fun! It’s one of those things that I would wall paper with.. no seriously… Okay, okay. I may have “star” issues.

I used a cut file by Jamie Lane Designs for this and it originally came with apples as well as stars to decorate the pencils as a teacher’s gift. Dual usage? Yes, please. I grabbed some new May Arts Ribbon that is a string of gold stars and used two glue dots to add them to the back of the pencils. I thought it gave them a little extra depth. 

I added a little velvet ribbon to one of the pencils because I have bow issues - I love them. 

The project is incredibly sturdy and has great depth while not taking up a large foot print.

Mother Goose Thank You Notes

Over at Imaginisce we were challenged with a “Teacher’s Appreciation” project. Everyone always needs thank you notes so I made these up Mother Goose style! As Emmaline is only 20 months the closest teacher we have is pre-school so I thought the fun - soft - colors were sweet instead of the normal red apple theme (which I love too!) We were told to think outside the box - I think this fits! :) 

Totally loving these sweet buttons. They have subtle polka dots on them - darling detail.

And these wood veneer stars are too fun! I.am.addicted.

I hope this inspires you to grab some nursery themed papers, dies and colors and make some thank you notes for a teacher or a friend who is a teacher. :)

30 Days of Xyron Holiday Goodness + Giveaway day 7!

Hello and welcome to more of the 30 days of Xyron Holiday Inspiration!!! :) 

I made two SUPER fast and quick projects for you. The only tool you will need besides your Xyrons..... a paper cutter!!! :) 

First up is a stocking stuffer. Our family travels.a.lot. I knew these would be put to good use! I cut out a part of the journaling card as I definitely wanted a pattern that was "year 'round" and boy friendly. Loved this pattern! Hated cutting up that adorable card! ;)

 Next time I will add die cut shapes underneath, some layering and some stitching. But this was a first attempt and a quick one at that! 20 minutes start to finish! :) Give them a try! :)

Xyron 30 Days of Holiday Goodness!

This is one of those cards that looks better in your head then it comes out on paper. 

I really liked the idea of having a red fence that the cow was looking over... but the red might be too... red... My husband was making fun of me! haha. But none the less, here is my card. Had I to do it over again, I would have toned it down. But that's why we craft! To make our own creations and to laugh at ourselves! haha.
