CREAM and SUGAR

Hello everyone!!! Courtney Lee from Court's Crafts here with the Valentine collection from doodlebug! This one is called Cream and Sugar and I LOVE IT.

I made two kinds of valentines: the complicated kind and the easy kind. I thought those with kiddos would appreciate some easy valentine ideas that weren't straight out of a box but went together just as quickly. :)

First up: my card inspired by Melinda Spinks' embellishment clusters. I LOVE that she does this and every once and a while just have to do it too! Hers are GENIUS. Here is mine.

This was my first concept for a card that I came up with. I wanted to highlight SO many of the cute embellishments and now with the NEW MINI ICONS card makers can make scenes too!!!

Most of the elements on here are from the shiny shaped sprinkles, the new mini icons, and of course sprinkles and mini pearls.

I did manage to get a cute clip in there as well as a doodle pop donut. :) The "Sweet" came from the new mini icon sheet.

This shaped card was begging to be made. My daughters immediately said, "That's a coffee cup! That must be for daddy!" I'm mainly a tea drinker while my husband is the coffee LOVER of the family. This is his valentine. :)

Those are REAL coffee grinds on the top! I ran it through with my Xyron and just dipped it in and pressed down hard. I was going for this see-through chunky look, but if you wanted a more fluffy-full-coverage look then use a liquid adhesive like Glossy Accents and then really dump it on. It was gorgeous fluffy too.

For my third card I wanted to make a cute little scene out of all the darling embellishments.

How cute is that cute clip!?! And the donut stand is one of the new mini icons. Don't miss those darling little sugar cube sprinkles at the bottom with the heart and the macaroon. Swoon! I love how the little faces on everything just make them so happy! :)

I used another one of the darling tabs on this card (the other is on the coffee shaped card) and finished it off with that polka dot star. ca-ute!

Now, if you need to make a lot of valentines, then this is for you. My daughter loves to give them to all her friends (even though she isn't even in school yet!!!! But I cannot blame her. She gets it from her momma.)

I grabbed these 3x3 cards that doodlebug makes pre-made WITH envelopes = LOVE. I just grabbed the cake stand odds and ends and popped them up. I added a few sprinkles here and there and I popped a macaroon on this one. The sentiments all came from the This and That page or the 6x6 paper pad. Easy peasy!

Thank you for hanging out with me today and I hope you will pick up some Cream and Sugar to make your valentines this year! SOOOOO cute!
