My Creative Time - 3-D Wednesday!

Well, my cousin's wedding is this coming weekend and I was tasked to make some goodies for the photo booth they are going to have there. You've seen the mustaches before, but the signs are new and I used My Creative Time stamps to add the "XOXO" on the "love" sign. perfect.

Other notes: when making signs like this I cut the cardstock 5 or 6 times depending on the thickness of the cardstock that I was using. Use a Xyron machine (like the 9" Creative Station or the 3" Sticker Maker) and run all the layers through so that it is border to border adhesive. I used the Mega Runner  on the "love" sign and it didn't have the same stability that the other ones did when I ran all layers through the Xyron.

Xyron and Maya Road!

Hello and welcome to the Xyron and Maya Road blog swap blog hop!

We got a scrumptious amount of goodies from Maya Road (THANK YOU!) and I was particularly excited about the little birds and their cages. I am sure you will see some more on future projects.

I used my 3" Sticker Maker to make putting these projects together a snap!

Adhesive dots held the tin with all of the embellishments to the card.

Designer's Notes:
I used three different techniques on the chipboard:
1. Cover in Ink (the red)
2. Trace and cut the patterned paper and use my Xyron to adhere.
3. Run it through the 3" Sticker Maker and cover in glitter. Then run it through on the reverse side to adhere. :)

Recipe:
Xyron: Foam Adhesive made with the 9" Creative Station.
Xyron: 3/8" Adhesive Dots
Xyron: 3" Sticker Maker
Maya Road: Love Words Mini Chipboard Set
Maya Road: Granny's Mini Wood Doilies
Maya Road: Birds w/ Cages Mini Chipboard Set
Maya Road: Kraft Gift Card Envelopes
Maya Road: Vintage Metal Heart Tins
Crate Paper: Acorn Avenue "Pine Nut Diner"

Now be sure to check out what the other Xyron girls made with the Maya Road goodies! Make sure to check out the Xyron blog all week as there will be GIVEAWAYS!!!!

Halloween Hustle Part 2

Hey!!! Are you enjoying the Halloween Hustle over at My Creative Time!?! I am happy to be here wrapping up the week with you with a little decor project for a punch bowl!

Designer Notes:
I used three different stitch sizes (all zig zag) to give it a little more of a creepy-not-so-perfect-feel.
I also hung it at funky ribbon angles so that it would look wonky too! I am kind of into wonky right now.

Halloween Hustle

Hello! Greetings from North Carolina! I am here visiting family - my husband's grandmother's 90th birthday!!! - and we are having SO much fun! It's the first time all of us have been in the same location at the same time with kiddos in tow. What a new stage of life that is really so thrilling and joyful.

This week over at My Creative Time we are doing the Halloween Hustle! :) Last minute Halloween projects that all of the DT are making. Check them out!

This little poison jar is just a little stand alone deal-e-o that hangs out on a table for decoration. I wish I could have staged it better so you could see just how darling it is! I made this in about 20 minutes flat so I am challenging you to do the same! :)

I cut the jar twice - once with black and once with acetate and it's so much cuter in real person. It's 100% My Creative Time so get out your stamps and dies and get hustling! :)

May Arts Halloween Hop - Witch Wreath

****IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR MY XYRON/ STENCIL GIRL POST CLICK HERE!!! :)***

That's right! It's an all ribbonista - all week - Halloween inspiration extravaganza complete with prize!!!

I got this pattern in a store. If you want the pattern name/brand I am happy to give it to you so you can buy it yourself! Just email me: CourtsCraftsBlog@gmail.com. Anyway, I had a great time making this "wreath". I have a santa one coming up for Christmas so stay turned! :)

Please note the spiders which are ridiculously hard to photograph while the wreath is on the door. They are hanging from the tip of the hat and in between the hose and the tip of the chin.

I curled the wired ribbon around a pen to add body to her hair and just hung the ric rac velvet face forward so it has a lot of texture!

So... what is the prize you ask?!?! THREE SPOOLS OF YOUR CHOICE FROM THE HALLOWEEN SECTION!!! How cool is that!?! There are 5 pages of products.... 5.pages to choose from.

Hop on over to Dee Dee's blog! It's just her and I today! Then stop by the May Arts Ribbon Blog (all week long) to increase your chances of winning and see some fabby projects to boot!

Xyron and Stencil Girl!!!

Good Tuesday morning to you! I hope you all had a lovely weekend and possibly even three days off!

Xyron and Stencil Girl have teamed up this week and I have to admit... this was the first time for me using stencils!! I know, I know... but I had a great time with this one! THANK YOU Stencil Girl!!!

I have to tell you - it was a comedy of errors. Here is what I learned:

A: I am Spritzer inept. I tried to spray.... but lets just say that two of my spritzers wouldn't spritz at all (the mechanism was broken) and for the one that finally did - I think my finger was broken. It wasn't pretty.
B: Using ink on stencils is amazing! it comes out so crisp and clear if you:
C: Use painter's tape to hold both the paper AND the stencil down and together! :)
D: I tried something new and I think you'll like it! Check out the tag! :)

For the tag I taped down the stencil and then used the Xyron corner glue stick to heavily heavily add glue into the stencil openings. Then I poured glitter onto it and the result is really pretty and very dimensional! As the glue was not distributed evenly, there are raised and depressed portions of the pattern. It adds a ton.

This is a photo in progress of layout down the glue.

Recipe:

Other Supplies:
Stamps:
Dies:
Cricut Winter Frolic
Ribbon:
May Arts  wired string (KS-14)
Maya Road (red twine)
Stickles
Glitter
Ink

I used this sketch from Artful Delight for my card. I turned it on it's side and separated the two "flowers" as my bows.

Now make sure you stop by Xyron and Stencil Girl as there are prizes to be won! Xyron is giving away a different prize EVERY DAY!!!!

I am hopping today with:

So make sure you stop by their blogs too and check out what they made with these awesome stencils!

My Creative Time - Release Week!!!

Hello and welcome to the new release for My Creative Time!

I was given the rosette dies to show off today and I hope you like my project! I was TOTALLY inspired by my friend Lezlye and her project HERE. (Sorry I forgot to link it last night! I was so tired when writing this!) I scrap-lifted it and made it my own with Emma's awesome new dies!

Designer's note: I used the larger of the two dies and just scooted it off the end so it would cut shorter by a quarter of an inch or so. That's how I got the medium sized rosette. :)

Xyron and Core'dinations!?! Oh yeah!

Hello and welcome to the Xyron and Core'dinations Blog Hop!

I love Core. It matches EVERYTHING AND you can sand it, tear it, emboss it, love it!

Core was so generous to us and gave us all some fabulous product! I got to play with the Vintage 6x6 pad and the Pastel Collection!

First up is my fun little Halloween card. I don't know what I was thinking with this funky vellum cover, but I love it!!

Second up is my tutorial for today and a card I was putting off making for quite some time. A friend lost their baby girl at 20 weeks - found out there was no heartbeat. Having had 3 miscarriages before Emmaline and being 20 weeks pregnant with our little girl this week - words cannot describe my sorrow for them. However, I have absolute hope and faith that this terrible heartbreak is just a puddle in their path and that they will hold a baby in their arms. They will meet their little girl someday and for now, she is being taken care of by the greatest parent of all in Heaven.
