DIY Christmas Bows, Matching Tag an Card too!

I have a few left over "Christmas" projects. So I am going to share a few more! I hope you enjoy this!

These bows actually don't take long at all and you can match them to a card or tag to look super shnazzy.

I originally found this tutorial here. I am going to recreate it for you though.

Instructions: 

Total paper used: 1 6"x12" sheet of double sided paper.

Cut 8 1x6" strips of paper.

Next cut 1 1x4" strip from the top of what is left.

Lastly, cut 4 1x5" strips from what is left. I love it when there is no waste!

This is what you should now have:

Using your Glue Glider Pro or ATG you can put adhesive on one side of the paper so that the other side sticks making remembrance ribbons. It should look like this:

In the original tutorial by Beth, she used brads to hold the pinwheels together. I used my Crop a Dile with eyelets because I don't have any mini-brads or brads that aren't decorative hanging around. I didn't want to hide my nice ones in a bow, so I did this instead and it worked great! 

Lastly, I used my Glue Arts Extreme Adhesive Squares™ (I told you I was addicted to these!) to hold the pinwheels together to create the bow! 

I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial and maybe if you run out of bows you now know you don't have to go buy a big bag, you can just make your own! :) 

 I made the matching tag with the stickers that come with the Merry Christmas Line™.

 I made this card and envelope to match. The "Winter Wonderland" and the banner on the envelope came from the reverse side of the Tis the Season Card Paper™. 

Who has matching tags, bows, and cards? When you make your own anything is possible! Of course all of this is from the Merry Christmas line from Echo Park Paper!

Wrap It Up Christmas Cottage Shape Card

I haven't done a shape card in a while and I was missing it! 

There is a shape card feature already built into this cartridge, but I wanted to do mine slightly differently as I wanted all of the layers. So I did do this on my Gypsy, but you could get virtually the same effect by cutting the layers multiple times out of different papers.

Anyway, here it is!

My Pink Stamper: Use two pinks, two blues, and black (I used a dark brown instead, but technically there is black ink inside for the sentiment!)

Cuttin' Up Saturday Christmas Multiples!

Jolly good morning to you on this fine Saturday morning!

This week at the Cuttlebug Challenges we are showing you just how easy it is to make multiples of cards. Since it is National Card Making Day (or is it world card making day?) - a day to celebrate making cards for one another, crafting, and getting ahead on those Christmas cards, I have decided to make Christmas cards.

Recipe:

Cartridge: Christmas Solutions (Noel)™, Sentimentals™

Embossing: 5x7 Holly Ribbons Emboss Folder™, A2 Winter Borders Emboss Folder™, A2 Snowflakes Emboss Folder™

Paper: Echo Park Merry Christmas™, Bazzill™ (diamond white) 

Stamps: My Pink Stamper: Winter Punnies™

Pixie Glitter

Adhesive: Glue Glider Pro Perma-Tac™

Glossy Accents™

Crop-a-dile™

Ribbon

Instructions: 

1. I put all the Christmas trees, their layers, and their shadows on three different "layers" on my Gypsy. All cuts were from Christmas Solutions (Noel)™cartridge. I turned them around to fit as many on a sheet as possible. They were cut at 4.5". 

I took one off while it was cutting so that I could make sure it would come out okay. So I glued the green top to the white bottom and laid it on the top so you could see what it would look like. 

2. The next day I decided to add a maroon shadow to give it some more pop. 

3. I used Glossy Accents on the white part of the tree and then poured Pixie Sparkle over it. I let it dry overnight.

4. I cut out the tags from Sentimentals™and inked them with red ink around the edges.

5. I used my Crop-a-dile™ to punch holes and add eyelets to the tags.

6. I stamped the tags with a sentiment from My Pink Stamper: Winter Punnies™

7. I ran the tags through the Cuttlebug™ with the Snowflakes A2 Winter Borders Emboss Folder™

8. I ran the Echo Park Merry Christmas™ paper through the Cuttlebug™ with the 5x7 Holly Ribbons Emboss Folder™ and on the red and white striped versions, the A2 Snowflakes Emboss Folder™.

9. I adhered the ribbon and all layers using my Glue Glider Pro™ 

10. I pop dotted the Christmas tree and the tag after tying a ribbon around the tag.

11. I put it on the blog to share it with you! If you click on the picture below it will get bigger and you can see the detail.
