Core'dinations Rainbow Set of Cards

Now, for today I wanted to participate in the Core'dinations color challenge! There is still time to play! :)  Instead of putting all of the colors on one card, I made a card set. I spy with my little eye.... and a WINNER!

The Cricut Circle is having a monthly contest and the theme is "Road Trip" to make something that can be used on a road trip.

Well by now I am sure that you are becoming acquainted with my good friend June. She has 9 year old twin girls with Autism and I wanted to make something for them. They have been road tripping all over the East Coast for their summer vacation so I wanted to make something that was re-usable and something that held their attention for a little bit. Hello all! Today I am showing you a card that I made with my Gypsy. I made this card for the Imaginisce paper piecing challenge. The inspiration for this card actually came from My Pink Stamper's Love-alicious stamp called "Love Birds". I then knew I wanted to make a shape card with the bird house found on Cheerful Seasons. Next, I looked through all of my cartridges with birds and still liked the ones on Cheerful Seasons. So I choose those and went to work on my Gypsy!

I made this card as a thank you for Emily at EAD Designs because I gave her suggestions for stickers and she brought them to life! You should send her ideas. You never know when she will use them! :)

Since she finally got the thank you today, I can post it now! 

I made this card with the Hoot-a-licious stickerz - how cute are they- because I knew she has a thing for owls. :) I also used the A2 Forest Branches Emboss Folder™ and some Cosmo Cricket Material Girl paper that I bought at Torendi. 

It was simple and quick because EAD makes it that easy!

WMC#20-In the Forest

This is my last project as a Design Team member for August at Wee Memories. I have had such a great time on this team and they are such a talented group of ladies. Thank you so much Jenny for the opportunity!

Ann on the DT got to choose the theme this week and it is "In the Forest". I saw this cute tree on the Sweethearts Cartridge™ and really wanted to make a tree-shaped card.

I wanted to get some kind of critter in there though and thought the bees from Sentimentals Cartridge™ would be perfect.

I welded the blackouts of the tree together on my Gypsy™.
Then I created another brown layer for the front and embossed the brown with the A2 Forest Branches Emboss Folder™.
Next I used my Bo Bunny™ dot paper for the top of the tree. I pop-dotted it (that is now a verb).
I cut out the leaves from Cricut™ paper.
The hearts were cut from Core'dinations card stock, ran through the Cuttlebug™ with the A2 Swiss Dots Emboss Folder™, and then I put Glossy Accents™ on them. I pop-dotted them as well.
The bumble bees were cut from Bazzill™ Diamond Glaze card stock, the vinyl from the back of a binder, and DCWV™ neutrals stack.

Cuttlebug Challenges Cricut Saturday Cuttin' Up Team - Clearly Creative

Good Saturday morning to everybody! This is my card that I made using more clear material for The Cuttlebug Challenges. My mom actually said, "Why don't you do a house so the little windows are clear?" I thought that was a great idea and since I knew there was this cute little house on Wild Card™, I thought it would be perfect.

I did some work on my Gypsy™ with this one taking out the scalloping on the roof that comes with the natural cut, the scoring lines (as I wanted to make my own), and I added the door back on and then hid the outer rectangle and the door knob so that the window in the door would cut all the way through - providing me another opportunity to use my clear materials :). This could also be replaced with a square or rectangle punch.

The binder cover (my clear material) was utilized in the door, window, and on top of some Core'dinations™ card stock on the roof.

This card was cut at 6.5" and if you had the real dial size off on your Cricut™, then just keep the settings there and cut the rest.

I cut the roof twice: once for the clear and once for the dark grey Core'dinations™ card stock.

I cut the door twice for the clear and the card stock. For the clear piece I "hid" the inner part with my Gypsy™ so that it would be a solid rectangle - this could be replaced by cutting a rectangle by hand or with a rectangle from another cartridge.

I embossed the door with the A2 Forest Branches Emboss Folder™ and the roof was embossed with the clear material on top with the D'vine Swirl Emboss Folder™.

I got the idea for embossing the clear material on top of card stock from one of the Cuttlebug Challenges' faithful followers (and now one of my followers) Ilona! Thank you! If you click on her name it will take you to the post that got me thinking about acetate swirls. :)

I actually cut the topiaries that were on this page as well, but decided to cut their tops off and use the bottoms as flower pots and added these sweet flowers to it.

I added a button as the door knob and voila! It was done!

Challenge #8 - Resist Christmas (I think she meant resist Christmas colors so this is what I did)

Wreath: made from a flower punch and buttons
Door lines were colored with Copic™ markers

I liked the idea of this card. I'm still not positive I love the execution, but I will be improving on it for sure.

Challenge #9 - Incorporate Snowmen into a home decor project.
Well, those that know me from the beginning know that one of my first posts was making this tree into an Easter egg tree. I've decorated this tree with Christmas ornaments during the holidays and now it will have little snowmen on it! These are the first three I made. I used the Gypsy to mold and weld three circles together to make a snowman as I didn't have a snowman cut.

3 Challenges Fathers Day Card

I made this card with three challenges in mind:

Cuttlebug Challenges - Use a pennant.
My Pink Stamper - Fathers Day Project.
The Cuttlebug Spot - Dads and Grads with (my favorite) embossing.

I designed all of this on my Gypsy™ (yay) and used the new hide contour feature to basically take out all the middle pieces of the designs. The card was made using Wild Card Cartridge™ for the card, envelope, liner, and "pennants" with the inner triangles removed. The "DAD" was cut using all capitals from the Designers Calendar Cartridge™.

The card was 4.25" and the envelope was 4.5". I used the A2 Houndstooth Emboss Folder™ for the "D" pennants and the A2 Forest Branches Emboss Folder™ for the "A" Pennant.

Because of the shape of the card, it looks a little small in person. I would recommend cutting it larger if you were to make it yourself.

Wee Memories Challenge (WMC6) - Pink with Embellishments

I have a LOT of thank you's to write right now so most of the cards I make will have that purpose. :)

This one was made for the Wee Memories Challenge #6 - Jenny's favorite things: pink and embellishments. I put Jenny's favorite things on one of my favorite things: olive green - and we had a winning combination! :)

I JUST got three new cartridges (see last post) and was dying to try out the tree from the Hertiage Cartridge™. It was also the first time for me using Core'dinations paper and I think I'm in love. I embossed the bottom of the tree with the Cuttlebug™ A2 Forest Branches Embossing Folder™ and then sanded it with some sand paper I found in my husband's toolbox (thanks, love!). I also sanded the tree in parts to just antique it a bit. My embellishments are Swarovski Crystals™ that I placed randomly around the tree to give it some pop. The "thank you" was cut from Sentimentals Cartridge™.

Blue Moon Scrapbooking Birds and Butterflies Challenge -

So, I loved the swallow on the Sentimentals Cartridge™ and decided to play with that. I actually made this card first and then the one for the Cuttlebug Spot challenge. But I loved that tree so much that I used it in both and played with the grass, fence, etc. I might make them into a series and sell them, but we'll see. My favorite part were the buttons. :) I used my beloved Cuttlebug™, the A2 Forest Branches Emboss Folder™ on the grass in the background, and the A2 D'vine Swirl Emboss Folder™ on the tree.
